Utility design for storage reservoir Nr. 1999-9895

The solution makes use of a water temperature gradient. In precisely set heights, there are placed copper exchangers for domestic hot water, a solar system and inputs/outputs for a heating system. Overheated steams (up to 80°C) from compressor are ducted to the upper part of the reservoir with exchangers for domestic hot water. This part is not cooled by the water from the heating system, which leads to higher temperature of the service water.

Patent Nr. 2004-459 for a method of air heat pumps defrosting by the surrounding air

The defrosting principle lies in making use of two evaporators constructed into a so-called arrow shape. Each of the evaporators is rated at 100% of the heat pump power. Both evaporators use two cooling circuits independent on each other: liquid and evaporating. The evaporator is defrosted by means of aftercooling the cooling agent which circles from a condenser and at first passes through the evaporator’s liquid circuit which defrosts at that moment. After delivering its after-heat, this cooling agent comes to an expansion valve of the second evaporator, where it evaporates. After defrosting the first evaporator, the cooling agent flow is redirected to the second evaporator (identical inverted function). Heat pumps which use this system which is identified by VHM are MACH E or Chameleon.
